Mobile app development / NZ + Australia

Android and iPhone apps made for real-world use.

We design and build mobile apps for customers, field teams and new digital products, with the backend and operational tools needed to run them.

A strong fit for

Founders and businesses that need a mobile product people can understand quickly and return to often.

When to consider it

Start with the business friction.

An app should earn its place on a customer or employee's phone. We focus the first release on a recurring mobile need and make the surrounding operational workflow part of the product plan.

01

The task happens away from a desk

Customers or team members need fast access to a workflow, camera, notifications or location-aware features while mobile.

02

Retention depends on convenience

A browser journey creates friction for a service people need to revisit, monitor or respond to regularly.

03

You need to validate a product idea

A founder or product team needs a clear prototype and focused first release before investing in a broader roadmap.

How your project is quoted

Start with your workflow, users, existing systems and the change you need. We agree a useful first release and prepare an estimate around its design, development, integrations and testing. Support and later releases are scoped separately. There is no fixed price or delivery promise before we understand the work.

What the work should improve

A useful result, not a feature inventory.

01

Validate the app journey before committing to a full build

02

Create a consistent experience for iPhone and Android users

03

Connect accounts, data, payments or notifications

04

Give administrators the tools to operate the app

05

Plan store release and ongoing product updates

What can be delivered

A complete path from decision to usable software.

A useful mobile product includes more than screens in an app store. We plan the customer experience and the systems your team needs behind it.

01

App strategy and feature scope

Core users, jobs, success measures and first-release priorities documented in plain language.

02

Interactive mobile prototype

A testable version of the main journeys for stakeholder, customer or investor feedback.

03

iPhone and Android application

The approved product experience built for the target devices, including required account and device features.

04

Backend and administration

APIs, data, permissions and practical tools for operating content, users, transactions or support.

How delivery works

Make the important decisions before they become expensive.

  1. Step 01

    Validate the mobile use case

We clarify why an app is the right channel, what users need on the move and which assumptions need testing first.

  2. Step 02

    Prototype the core journey

We design the primary flows and use the prototype to resolve navigation, content and feature decisions early.

  3. Step 03

    Build in testable releases

App and backend development progress together, with device testing and review checkpoints throughout.

  4. Step 04

    Prepare for release

We support production testing and store submission preparation, then plan maintenance and future improvements.

Before you enquire

Common questions

Clear answers help you decide whether this is the right next step before a sales conversation.

Can one project support both iPhone and Android?

Yes. The right implementation depends on the product's device requirements, performance needs and roadmap. We recommend an approach after understanding the experience rather than assuming one technology for every app.

Do we need a prototype before development?

For most new apps, a prototype is valuable because it makes the main journeys testable before the expensive parts are built. It can also help align internal stakeholders or explain the product to prospective users.

Can the app include payments, logins and notifications?

Yes, where they are relevant. Payment providers, account roles, notification rules and any third-party services are specified during scoping so the app and its backend are designed together.

What happens after the app launches?

Mobile platforms, device versions and user needs continue to change. We can provide an ongoing support arrangement for maintenance, monitoring and prioritised product releases.
