System integration and API development / NZ + Australia

Connect the systems your business already depends on.

We develop APIs and system integrations that move approved data between business tools, reduce duplicate entry and make cross-system workflows more reliable.

A strong fit for

Organisations using several important systems that cannot support a complete workflow without manual transfers, exports or repeated checks.

When to consider it

Start with the business friction.

Integration is not just moving fields from one database to another. A reliable connection needs clear ownership, timing, error handling and a plan for what happens when either system is unavailable.

01

The same data is entered repeatedly

Customer, order, job or account details are copied between tools, creating delay and inconsistent records.

02

CSV exports keep a process running

Scheduled downloads and spreadsheet clean-up bridge systems but are fragile, slow or dependent on one person.

03

A new product needs existing data

An app, portal, reporting layer or partner workflow requires secure access to information held elsewhere.

How your project is quoted

Start with your workflow, users, existing systems and the change you need. We agree a useful first release and prepare an estimate around its design, development, integrations and testing. Support and later releases are scoped separately. There is no fixed price or delivery promise before we understand the work.

Based in Christchurch, we work with businesses across New Zealand. Discuss your software project.

What the work should improve

A useful result, not a feature inventory.

01

Reduce manual data transfer between systems

02

Define which platform owns each important record

03

Automate cross-system events and status updates

04

Create monitored and recoverable data flows

05

Provide a secure API for a new app, portal or partner

What can be delivered

A complete path from decision to usable software.

Integration work begins by defining the business event and source of truth. The implementation can then be designed for traceability, exceptions and safe change.

01

Integration and data map

Systems, records, ownership, trigger events, field transformations and exceptions documented before development.

02

API or connector

A purpose-built interface or workflow using supported connection methods from the systems involved.

03

Validation and error handling

Rules for incomplete or conflicting data, safe retries and visible exceptions that require attention.

04

Monitoring and documentation

Operational visibility, technical documentation and a support path for changes or failures.

How delivery works

Make the important decisions before they become expensive.

  1. Step 01

    Assess the systems

We confirm available APIs, authentication, rate limits, source data and the business event the integration must support.

  2. Step 02

    Define data ownership

For each record, we agree which system is authoritative, how updates flow and how conflicts should be handled.

  3. Step 03

    Build and test edge cases

The connection is tested with representative data, failures, duplicates and unavailable-system scenarios.

  4. Step 04

    Release and monitor

The integration is deployed with suitable logging and a clear process for exceptions, provider changes and support.

Before you enquire

Common questions

Clear answers help you decide whether this is the right next step before a sales conversation.

Can any two software systems be integrated?

Only when both sides provide a usable way to exchange data, such as an API, webhook, supported export or database access. We assess the available methods and their constraints before recommending an approach.

What happens if one system is temporarily unavailable?

The integration can be designed with suitable retry, queueing, alerting or reconciliation behaviour. The right approach depends on how time-sensitive the workflow is and the consequence of a delayed update.

Can you build an API for our own software?

Yes. An API can support a mobile app, portal, reporting tool or approved partner access. Its authentication, permissions, versioning and documentation should be planned around the intended consumers.

How do you avoid duplicate or conflicting records?

We define identifiers, ownership and update rules before implementation, then validate inputs and make exceptions visible. Existing data quality may need to be addressed as part of the project.
